went out today to my dear sister Mili. I don’t know if it will make it to her. It may be returned or delivered I don’t now, but I made the attempt to write it and mail it out.

If she receives it I will write to my aunt and my niece next. Now it’s just a waiting game.

Dear Friend,

How have you been? It was so nice to read your letter. We spent Thanksgiving this year at my in laws home. We had our dinner on Friday the 23 instead of Thursday the 22. We had a nice meal and stayed quite a while.

After dinner we stayed and watched the first part of Breaking Dawn, and hope to go to the movies this Sunday to see the second part.. I know it will be a great movie to watch.

Dear Kristy,

Thanks for you letter I am glad all is okay on your end.

Today we left the doggie in the other room, I think that she was far enough to where no one hears her now.

I left my lil guy with his grand parents and he enjoyed his visit with them he arrived at 10:30 and I picked him up by 12:15 or about that time. I try not to take long picking him up as I don’t want to abuse the grand parents.

The kids wanted McDonald’s today and I gave in, but told them we couldn’t do this every week. This week when I go shopping I will buy and assortment of snacks for them to take on days like today when we are out and about. How are you kids doing in school? I can’t wait to hear all about them.

Tonight for dinner I need to cook enough for left over for tomorrow night as we are going to a Fall Festival with the in-laws. The kids will have an early dinner so that they are not starving and can enjoy the festival. My dear hubby wanted to see if his parents would treat the boys but I told him it would be better to plan ahead. As of today the grand parents have not mentioned any treats for the boys and I don’t want to go unprepared. If we have to pay for dinner it would be at least $40.00 for the four of us and that is not part of my spending plan.

As we agreed to share what each others expenses were for the day here is my tab.

Weary Mom

Dear Kristy,

Living in our apartment is going well, we are enjoying the saving it is giving us.  We are also enjoying having less to do at home and enjoying our weekends.

We have found a few things that are typical to apartment living that we had forgotten over the years.  One of our neighbors  has complained to us that our dog  is barking when we are gone, so now we have to leave her in a room away from that apartments wall.  We hope this will take care of that issue.  Also we are on a first floor and we can hear every foot step of the two men who live above us.  We didn’t have this issue before because we were on the second floor when we rented over 6 yrs ago.

All in all we are adjusting well as can be expected.  One thing we do like very much is that our kitchen is large which is good because we cook so much.  Cooking at home helps keep our costs down to a minimal.

Here is our apt home before we unpacked all the boxes.

All the boxes are unpacked, and we are all settled in.  I still have too many items in the bathroom cabinets and in the clothes closets both ours and the kids.  I am taking items to Goodwill weekly and those will eventually be thinned out to the perfect amount.

Well, we have sold our 1800 sq ft home and are now living in our new apt home a whopping 1037 sq. ft. and we are enjoying it very much.

The apartment is just being finish today, the last few boxes are being put away Yay!  Now come next month we will begin to see our new improved lower expenses.

The bedroom was difficult because I had to sleep in this room at night, which meant I had to clear the bed nightly.  What made it easier was that Ben was out of town for the process which meant I only had to clear off my side of the bed.

My night stand, I really need to pair down the books.

These items were in the closet and the room on the floor around the bed.

Here is the finished room a pleasure to get some zzzzz in here now.

This was one task I had to really physic myself up for, but I did it and it felt good.

Once I took it out to sort it got really bad like the photo above.  I felt like leaving the house and going to the movies or something.  I wanted to do anything but be at home.  It took me several day but I finally got it to the point where it was done. sigh

I am so glad I am writing about this and posting photos, because I can always come back and refresh my memory.  I don’t want to have to ever do this again.

This is a before photo of was is suppose to be our bathroom linen closet.  Well it was my arts and crafts stuff that took up that space, here it is.

After throwing out items that needed pitching and donating items I didn’t use here is what it looks like now.

Yet have a long way to go still as far as getting rid of stuff.  I have done just enough to show the house to buyers.

We now have a contract and hopefully done with the house by end of August, that is if all goes well.  From previous experience I know something always couses a ripple so we are expecting one or two ripples.

I got it done I worked for 3 to 4 weeks and got rid of van loads of stuff we had not used in a long time.  We now have our two bedroom apartment set aside with a one car garage.  Now I have to keep going so that when the move day comes around we can nicely fit all our belongings into our new space.  I will be posting a new update with photos of where we are now.
