Well events happen and we have to speed things up a bit, I am going to take things to donate several times a week now. My van is going to be learning the way to the Goodwill Store by heart soon.
I will be posting more updates soon, I hope to be able to follow a plan that keeps us from running around like bats out of hell. Sigh here it goes and it all starts.

As the week went by I collected clothes from my closet that I wanted to donate. By today I had about 8 small bags which I gladly dropped off at the donation center. So I will continue to collect and put the bags in my van so when I am in the area I can drop them off.
Such a long way to go, but what a pleasant feeling to donate those clothes.

After the initial difficulty of finding a donation spot we finally found a place for us. We initially wanted it picked up from our home, but when that didn’t work out we found a place to take it to today.
My husband and I packed it all in the van and drove it away. We sure do hope someone can use our stuff, we are just happy it is not on our minds anymore.

Well, it seems we have run into a tiny snag so far. I called the service to schedule a pick up for our items and they can’t because they have been in our area recently. They don’t even have our zip code scheduled to come again just yet. I suppose we will have to load the stuff into the van and take it to another donation service. We need to find a good way to donate the items or we will have to dispose of it some how.
The clothes I was wanting to sell on consignment isn’t going to work either as they were pretty picky with what they would take. I decided I prefer to donate that too. I run into the same dilemma where to take it to donate. ugh
All I can think about is getting rid of stuff I don’t use, but I need a way to donate or if not throw it in the trash. On the plus side the trash people did haul all the trash away today, and we had a nice big pile outside too. They were in front of our home for quite a while putting stuff in the truck.

Hubby and I hit the garage today and did really good. We started with kids toys, the one they played with many moons ago and got about 10 big yard sized bags full to donate. Tomorrow I will call and make plans for those to be picked up.
We also have a much smaller trash pile, which the garbage people will pick up tomorrow. If it wasn’t good enough for Good Will it went to the trash and not many made that cut fortunately.
I actually went to bed last night and all I could do was think of purging and I did my whole house in one night haha. Real life will go much slower but I am now so looking forward to this process. I have a few pictures that I will add to this post soon as I can.

Just this past weekend my hubby and I were remembering our apartment days again. We talk about how we had less stuff and we were so much happier with our daily to do lists. Now it is back on our brain and we have come up with a plan to get back to those simpler days.

The last week I have been missing my family terribly much. I have been feeling a strong desire to just get in my car and visit my mom or hang out with my sister. I am missing that deep and genuine need for girly chit chat and understanding. I so miss just sitting with family and friends back home that was just well always available to me.
Since moving away from home first in Albuquerque and now in Tulsa it is just well not there. I had a handful of acquaintance back in Albuquerque and had to move away just as I was forming those oh so needed bonds. As usual I know the way I feel is oh so temporary and will be pushed back as the week gets started. At that point house tasks and kids take over, and then who has time to sit and ponder such thoughts a female bonds.
